Cathay Pacific is set to strengthen its India-Hong Kong connection with the resumption of direct flights to Hyderabad starting March 30, 2025. Cathay Pacific operates direct flights to four Indian destinations — Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai and Mumbai. With Telangana’s capital announced as the fifth destination, the new route aims to improve connectivity for business and leisure travellers.
Hyderabad to Hong Kong direct flight: Cathay Pacific resumes services from March 2025
Initially, the airline will operate three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Starting September 1, 2025, the frequency will increase to five weekly flights, covering Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
The flights will be operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, offering a comfortable two-cabin configuration with business and economy class seating. The outbound flight from Hong Kong International Airport will depart at 9:35 pm and arrive at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 12:45 am the following day. The return flight will depart Hyderabad at 1:50 am and land in Hong Kong at 9:30 am, Simply Flying reported.
Cathay Pacific is operating 31 return flights per week from India to Hong Kong. The addition of Hyderabad will increase the weekly flights to 39 in March and eventually to 41 weekly flights in September. Hyderabad’s booming technological industry and vibrant traditional culture will now be easily accessible from Hong Kong.
The airline runs double-daily flights from Delhi, daily flights from Chennai and Bengaluru and ten weekly flights from Mumbai. This route will enhance connectivity with India and offer passengers smooth travel to these metropolitan cities.
