Key details of Cebu Pacific’s new routes in Asia
Cebu Pacific’s new international routes include a four-times-weekly service to Hong Kong, which will expand tourism and business travel between Davao and Hong Kong. A three-times-weekly service to Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport from Davao is another addition made by the airline, aiming to boost travel and enhance connectivity between the two countries.
Apart from the freshly introduced flights in Asia by Cebu Pacific, new domestic routes are being launched, including daily flights from Davao to Puerto Princesa and Caticlan. The flight to Puerto Princesa will enhance connectivity with Palawan, which is a major tourist haunt for the country, thanks to the much-revered Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park.
Similarly, the route to Caticlan is a significant addition, since the destination serves as a gateway to Boracay Island, one of the most popular tourist spots in the Philippines. The new service will provide direct access to the island, boosting tourism to the pristine island. These domestic flights aim to boost local tourism and economic development of the regions. The airline introduced domestic three-times-weekly service to Tacloban as well, a historically significant destination that is quickly becoming a favoured tourism and cultural hotspot for the Philippines.
