Ai’s Kitchen follows a group of popular Chinese celebrities trying to run a restaurant on a stunning beach in Koh Samui. Ai’s Kitchen stars acclaimed Chinese actor, director and writer Silvia Chang, Da-lu Wang (aka Darren Wang), Ko Chia-yen (aka Alice Ko), and Tony Yang (aka Yo Yang). Netflix rolled out the first episode of the 12-episode series on October 5, 2024, with the second and third episodes out on October 19 and 26, respectively. Subsequently, keeping with the release format, episodes will be launched every Saturday till the last one airs in December.

Nathon, Koh Samui
Ai’s Kitchen is filming exclusively on location at Nathon, Koh Samui in Thailand. The paradisical island is home to tourists from all over the world, with plenty of locals to mix things up. The restaurant, with only five tables, is located on the beach, close to the Nathon Pier. It is the main port for Koh Samui, although there is a separate spot for car ferries to dock at Lipa Noi. Nathon is also considered the starting point for visiting mainland Surat Thani, and the islands of Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
Best time to visit: December to February when the weather is dry and pleasant, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing.
Places to visit: The 12-metre-tall golden Big Buddha statue, Na Muang Waterfalls, Secret Buddha Garden, and Silver Beach at Thong Takhian Bay.
