You can now make the food from ‘Kiki’s Delivery Service’ with official the recipe book

Want to try all the delicious food from Kiki’s Delivery Service? You can now make them yourself with the official recipe book by Studio Ghibli.

The book includes 64 pages of recipes such as roasted herring and pumpkin pie, Osono’s milk soup, Madame’s chocolate cake for Kiki, and more. There are also original recipes inspired by the characters and world of the Kiki’s Delivery Service, such as Tombo’s striped jelly, black cat lollipop cakes that look just like Jiji, and the witch’s ribbon snack.

Although the book is written in Japanese, each recipe comes with pictures to make it easier to follow the instructions. Plus, most of the recipes are easy enough so that even children can make them together with their parents. And of course, a little bit of Google Translate wouldn’t hurt if you can’t read Japanese.

The Kiki’s Delivery Service recipe book will be available for purchase for ¥1,760 (approximately HK$93) on Amazon. The book will be officially released on March 14, but you already pre-order the book so you can get your hands dirty making Gütiokipänjä’s mountain-shaped bread and round buns by mid-late March.

This isn’t the first time Studio Ghibli has made recipe books for its movies. Aside from Kiki’s Delivery Service, you can also try making the stew from Laputa: Castle in the Sky and Satsuki’s bento from My Neighbor Totoro and other dishes from the two movies.
