In our latest installment of Send Location, we paid a visit to Potato Head Desa’s newly-opened restaurant, Dome.
Dubbed one of the World’s 50 Best Hotels of 2023, Bali‘s oceanside cultural haven Desa Potato Head has unveiled “Dome,” a dining destination aptly named for its unique dome-shaped architecture. With a philosophy of “Good Times, Do Good,” Dome is the newest addition to this vibrant hub where culinary arts, creativity, and people come together for a good time.
Led by Chef Diego Recarte, the restaurant and wine bar celebrates its connection to the land by using locally sourced produce to present its delectable dishes. The menu also features a wine selection curated especially by Head Sommelier Minyoung Ryu, which complements the offerings perfectly.
Like tapas, all dishes are meant for sharing with affordable prices ranging from HK$20 to HK$80, and special cocktails at HK$70. If you’re unsure which options to choose from, you can kickstart the meal with the fresh beef and oyster tartare, beef tongue toast, and clam croquettes. Recommended mains include the cabbage cannelloni and chicken liver parfait, paired with the restaurant’s homemade milk bread.
While waiting for dessert, immerse yourself in the retro-futurist ambiance from OMA’s vintage JBL speaker stacks and the beats of the DJ of the night. Feast your eyes on the architecture and bites, and we highly recommend paying a visit if you find yourself in the area.
