The Landmark Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong’s acclaimed speakeasy Please Don’t Tell is excited to invite Singapore’s 28 HongKong Street for a bar takeover, steaming up Hong Kong for two nights only on April 19 and 20.
Hidden behind a 1960s shophouse facade, 28 HongKong Street is an unassuming speakeasy with a focus on artisanal spirits and American-style cocktails. The bar is regarded as one of Singapore’s best-known cocktail venues and one of the most awarded bars in Asia’s history, earning the #24 spot in Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2023. Its signature cocktails and bites will be brought to Please Don’t Tell by Head Bartender Tamaryn Cooper and Chef Jenica Carla Cruzon for Hong Kong’s cocktail aficionados to enjoy.
Don’t miss this chance to try Bitter About My Ex (HK$160+), where Ketel One Vodka serves as the base for Pineapple Aperol, Galliano L’Autentico, elderflower, mango and angostura bitters. For a more refreshing drink, the Galactic Booze Cruise (HK$160+) blends Hennessy V.S.O.P Cognac and Aperol with mint, cucumber, passionfruit, coconut, and clarified white wine for a blast of freshness.
The Sip & Slide (HK$170+) is 28 HongKong Street’s take on the classic martini, crafted with Casamigos Blanco Tequila, Campari, Mancino Bianco Vermouth, pomegranate liqueur, white wine verjus, and soda water. Whiskey lovers can go for the Butter Be Nice (HK$170+), which features the Glenmorangie 10-year and Hennessy V.S.O.P cognac with burnt butter, chestnut, and chocolate bitters.
Of course, you can’t miss out on the bar’s signature bites. The Signature Burger (HK$268+) is perfect if you’re looking for something heavier, while the classic Mac & Cheese Balls (HK$180+) is a favourite among the speakeasy’s visitors. The Apple Frites (HK$160+) come served with Bourbon Cream, which makes a boozy sweet treat to go with your drinks.
Walk-ins are welcome to enjoy 28 HongKong Street’s takeover of Please Don’t Tell. The menu is only available on April 19 – 20 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
