Our next Send Location takes us to Lobster Bar and Grill with The Macallan. This staple bar in HK is located on the 6th floor of Island Island Shangri-La.
This renowned bar in Hong Kong has been a go-to for years, but it is their latest pop-up that has sparked our curiosity. The Macallan has partnered with The Lobster Bar to host a bespoke mobile bar for a limited period, paying homage to The Macallan’s craftsmanship with its copper-made smallest pot stills used in the distilling process.
One of the whiskies highlighted is the flagship Sherry Oak 18 Years Old, one that is distinguished by its distinct character with to its maturation in European sherry seasoned casks from Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. In addition to the 18 Years Old, tipples of the 25 and 30 Years Old can also be savoured by the glass or by flight. An in-house bartender will be present during this special residency, guiding both whisky novices and connoisseurs to discover their preferred flavour profiles and their ideal cocktail.
We visited the limited-time popup to get a feel for ourselves and to see what the new experience at The Lobster Bar has to offer. It turned out to be relaxing and was a great chance to learn about the various releases from The Macallan and its vintages.
