In mid-April, the opening of Sophia Loren Hong Kong transformed the old Woo Cheong Pawn Shop in the heart of Wan Chai. The building is an homage to the Italian actress Sophia Loren, who is also a co-founder of the brand. The space now houses two restaurants and two bars, perfect for a nighttime outing.
As the first international step of the restaurant outside of Italy, this is an unparalleled one-stop destination for Neapolitan dining and entertainment. On the ground floor, you’ll find Sophia Loren Pizzeria with Casa Sophia Loren located above it. The Stage is located on the third floor with Pellicola Rooftop at the highest level. The Sophia Loren Hong Kong is pioneering a new way in Hong Kong to combine culinary and entertainment in the same location for you to enjoy the la dolce vita (sweet life in Italian).
The traditional verandah-style Tong Lau has been glamorously renovated into the new space. The original green door and sign have been retained to pay homage to this historical landmark.
Casa Sophia Loren
Casa Sophia Loren is an Italian-style seafood restaurant presenting Neapolitan Cuisine. Matching with its offerings, the restaurant is decorated with vibrant blue Murano glass chandeliers, evoking the deep blue Mediterranean seas.
All the dishes are made with in-season premium catches from Italy. The top choices are the Calamarata pasta with cuttlefish and anchovy sauce (HK$248), Scampi tartare with foie grass (HK$298), and Red prawn carpaccio (HK$328) with osetra caviar, burrata, orange dressing and puntarelle salad.

The Stage
As an elegant and nostalgic cocktail bar, The Stage is decorated with vibrant colour, luxurious marble tables, suede furniture, and gold detailing.
The signature drinks include the comforting Unforgettable with Tanqueray London Dry Gin with chamomile, honey, and lemon by the beverage director Benjamin Boyce. If you are a caffeine addict, don’t miss the chance to try the Coffee Cold which blends cold brew coffee with Pampero Blanco and coconut.
On the other side of the bar, there is a stage for live jazz and a dance floor. At different times of the week, you can find DJ, stand-up comedy, or drag queen performances presented by local and international artists.
