The Envoy at The Pottinger Hong Kong is closing its doors for good this June

The Pottinger Hong Kong’s The Envoy is closing its doors at the end of this month. The colonial-inspired restaurant and bar has served the city with British delights and drinks for 10 years. Its last day of operations will be on June 29.

Known for its British and colonial-inspired offerings, The Envoy is shutting down for good. The restaurant and bar has been a well-loved spot in Central for a decade. According to an announcement on Instagram, the establishment is saying goodbye on June 29.

The Envoy is closing after its 10th anniversary

The Envoy had just celebrated its 10th anniversary at the end of May. For its birthday, customers can go down memory lane and enjoy its 10 most-loved cocktails in its 10-year run. The celebrations will last for the rest of June, closing its 10-year journey with a bang.

Some of the most popular drinks and signatures are coming back for this limited time. If you didn’t get to try cocktails like the Coconut Candy Negroni (HK$140) while they were running, now’s your last chance. Of course, you have to get favourites like the pandan-infused Dewdrops Of The Heart (HK$130), the Milo-packed Dinosaur (HK$130), and the refreshing Early Bird (HK$130) before it’s too late.

More about The Envoy

Housed on the third floor of The Pottinger Hong Kong, the restaurant is best known for its signature Tiffin Box sets for lunch. You can find other British classics and dishes inspired by Hong Kong, Indian, and Malaysian cuisines on the menu, too. Its panipuri and butter chicken lollipops are crowd-favourites.

Of course, we can’t forget about the bar. Renowned mixologist Antonio Lai founded it with bar manager Hungie Fong. The Envoy earned a place in Asia’s 50 Best Bars in 2016 for its creative drinks. The menu changes according to the seasons alongside a permanent collection of signature and classic cocktails.

Currently, there’s no news on what will replace The Envoy after its closing at The Pottinger Hong Kong. In the meantime, the speakeasy Room 309 — also run by Antonio Lai — will still be open next door.
