Rémy Martin is celebrating 300 glorious years with the release of an exceptional cognac.
Celebrating its start in 1724 to the present day, this new cognac takes Rémy Martin’s “We Dream Forward” theme for a liquid that features all three centuries of the House’s craft and innovation.
Finally arriving in Hong Kong, and launched with an exclusive dinner hosted by Baptiste Loiseau, cognac connoisseurs were invited to experience first-hand the exceptional qualities of the fine cognac, its iconic carafe, and sacred tasting ritual.
Baptiste Loiseau, Cellar Master of the House of Rémy Martin comments:
The perpetual reserve is as much a process as a legacy. When a new blend is created, part of it is set aside for future cellar masters. In turn, they will use it for the next Anniversary Coupe. To create the 300th Anniversary Coupe, I have come to enrich this blend with the treasures of our cellars and Grande Champagne terroir, which will be the legacy I leave to the next generation. By reserving some eaux-de-vie from this precious Coupe 300th Anniversary, the story will continue for future generations.
For this 300th Anniversary Coupe, Baptiste Loiseau worked in parts of the previous Coupe of the 290th, which itself was nourished by the eaux-de-vie from the 275th Coupe — tying in generations of Rémy Martin history. Tasting notes for the amber 300th Anniversary Coupe start with a candied orange, passion fruit, sandalwood, leather, and mixed spices on the nose while the palate features candied fruit, fig, nuts, and oaky notes for a long finish. The body sees an impressive structure, explosiveness, and a refined fresh fruit expression.
The 300th Rémy Martin Anniversary Coup’s glass carafe was inspired by the iconic shape of the 250th Anniversary Coup from 1974, but this time was enhanced with embossed lines to symbolise the forward motion of the Rémy Martin Centaur’s javelin. Head to Rémy Martin to learn more.
