Dondonya upgrades core menu and offers limited-time donburi this season

Got a hunger for Japanese food? Dondonya is sure to satisfy your cravings with the new and upgraded core menu. Launching on October 16, diners can explore nearly 20 new dishes. Additionally, the chain is also introducing a limited-time menu for the season.

If you’re a donburi fan, then you’ll be thrilled to hear about the new menu coming to Dondonya. Almost 20 dishes are coming to the core menu, from seafood don and scrambled egg curry don to udon and side dishes. Additionally, there’s a limited addition to the signature egg don series: the Charcoal-grilled Beef with Egg Don.

New limited-edition menu: Charcoal-grilled Beef with Egg Don

The new limited Charcoal-grilled Beef with Egg Don is the perfect bowl to warm you up as the air gets colder. This exclusive dish joins Dondonya’s signature egg don series, such as the Katsudon and Deep-fried Jumbo Shrimps with Egg Don. Tender scrambled eggs with a rich egg sauce meets premium Japanese rice and smokey, grilled beef. The dish is available from now until November 26 for HK$78 each. Each bowl also comes with a free fruit tea and pickles. For a little bit of surf and turf, diners can add the Salmon and Red Shrimp Sashimi for only HK$33 (original price HK$48).

Starting October 16, customers can enjoy the new dishes coming to the core menu at Dondonya. Aside from the limited menu, the signature egg don series is also getting a new dish, the Cheese Crab Stick with Egg Don (HK$48). Another exciting dish is the Kimchi Oyakodon, the signature don from the famous Nagoya chicken restaurant Torikai. This bowl will be available for HK$88 a la carte or for HK$148 as a set including fruit tea, pickles, and dessert. The new menu also includes new udon and side dishes, such as the Pork Nabeyaki Udon (HK$78) and Grilled Halibut with Saikyo Miso and Rice Set (HK$88).

Of course, if we’re talking about donburi, then we cant leave out fresh seafood dons. The new core menu from Dondonya includes options like the Negitoro Seafood Don or the Salmon Red Shrimp Amberjack Bowl. The highlight is the new Pick-your-own Seafood Don, which starts at HK$75. This allows you to choose two sashimi options from 13 different types to build your own bowl. Options include scallops, salmon, red shrimp, amberjack, and a generous serving of flying fish roe. Customers can adjust the bowl according to their own preference and budget. This way, everyone can enjoy their own tailor-made seafood don that’s perfect for them.

The new core menu and limited-time item are available at all Dondonya locations and Dondonya x Torikai collaboration stores.
