Carbone is celebrating its 10th anniversary! Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has won the hearts of Hong Kong diners with its Italian-American fare and theatrical tableside service. This month, to celebrate a decade of Carbone, Black Sheep is pulling out all the stops. Keep reading below to find out what’s in store for the celebrations, from a time-limited set menu to a visit by Chef Mario Carbone himself.
It’s been ten years since the New York restaurant came to Hong Kong, bringing with it the Manhattan red sauce legacy. “The Carbone juggernaut rolls on, but for us, we take a lot of pride in the way Carbone Hong Kong has become an institution in her own right as one of the most beloved Hong Kong restaurants. For our guests here, it is the celebration restaurant,” says Syed Asim Hussain, the Founder of Black Sheep. “She is a phenomenon all on her own.”
Carbone celebrates 10th anniversary with a time-limited menu
To celebrate the momentous occasion, Carbone is taking its customers back to 2014, the year the restaurant opened. The 10th-anniversary menu includes timeless classics which have been on the menu since day one. The best part? It costs as much as it would back in 2014. At HK$818 for two, the five-course menu will only be available for dinner from October 28 to 31. Additionally, during this period, Carbone’s classic cocktails and select wines by the glass will be only HK$88.
The Caesar Alla ZZ kicks off the meal, prepared tableside. Next comes Mario’s Meatballs, featuring Chef Mario Carbone’s special blend of beef, ground veal, and sweet Italian sausage. As for mains, customers can enjoy the iconic Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, followed by the Veal Parmesan with tomato and buffalo mozzarella. Finally, dessert is the NY Lemon Cheesecake which is the perfect, creamy ending to the meal.

To add the cherry on top, the star chef himself will be making a visit to the city to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Carbone Hong Kong. From October 30 to November 2, Chef Mario Carbone will be in the kitchen, cooking for guests during the anniversary. To see the chef at work, make a reservation online to secure your table.
If you won’t be able to make it to Carbone, then don’t worry. Ice cream shop Messina partnered up with the chef to create the Carbone NY Lemon Cheesecake-inspired Gelato. This way, customers can still enjoy one of Carbone’s signature flavours even without going to the restaurant. The celebratory flavour will be available from November 2 to 8. A single scoop costs HK$70 and can be purchased in-store or for delivery.
