Silk. begins its global expansion with first boba shop in Singapore

Silk., a boba brand described as “Hong Kong’s Best-Kept Secret” and Volvic Asia’s first and only official premium tea partner, officially opened its first international location in Singapore on October 25.

Having partnered with the likes of Porsche, Cathay Pacific, Johnnie Walker, ComplexCon, and 88rising’s Head in the Clouds festival in New York in which it sold a record 8,000 cups in 48 hours, Silk. has grown into a cultural marque leading the third wave of the tea market. The brand uses traditional silk-pulling techniques, bringing iconic Hong Kong tastes and brewing practices into the modern era for a new generation.

Silk’s menu was carefully curated from the ground up featuring a unique blend of classic and new-age flavours. Whether you opt for the world-famous “Smooth King” featuring a Hong Kong Milk Tea base made from a 50-year-old family recipe or refreshing Fruity Starburst mixed with Four Seasons Tea Passionfruit Sherbet, Agar Crystals, and assorted fruits, Silk. is sure to satisfy your cravings with its silky, subtle, and unimaginably smooth taste that sets the brand apart.

The Silk. Singapore opening was hosted by model and personality Hannah Cheng-Bradshaw at the new flagship store, where she spent an evening sampling the menu with family and friends, whilst also creating her very own Singapore-exclusive drink that will feature on the menu at launch for a limited time only. She also introduced a special creation dubbed “Smooth Queen” which will make its world-premiere featuring a unique combination of ingredients inspired by her favourite childhood flavours including HK-Style Lemon Tea, Fresh Pandan, Mint leaves, Calamansi – bringing the best of both Hong Kong and Singapore into one cup.
