Nepcha is all about championing high-altitude speciality tea directly from farmers in Nepal. Its name represents its vision to unite the diverse cultures of Hong Kong and Nepal through tea. “Nep” references Nepal while “Cha” alludes to the word “tea” in Cantonese. A haven for tea lovers, Nepcha offers crafty artisanal tea curated by talented tea makers who have dedicated their lives to making the perfect type of tea. They use the unorthodox method of processing tea manually, from plucking delicate buds to rolling. Plus, the tea leaves are extra special. High-altitude tea is only harvested four times a year and is sourced from organic farmers only. Taste three different types of tea from pure to blended, and herbal.

April Coffee Lab opens up shop in Sai Ying Pun and its bright caramel red exterior certainly adds more colour to the neighbourhood. The layout is similar to its Yuen Long store, where guests can look out the street. Plus, it’s a coffee shop on the street, minus the infamous uphill trek. The space is small, with only about four tables, but nevertheless, comforting when it’s not during peak hours. There’s also a small window for takeaway so you don’t have to squeeze your way through.

There’s plenty to try here starting with the rustic bread basket so you can taste a little bit of everything. It comes with brown butter, homemade peanut butter and passion fruit reserve. There’s also the classic avocado toast, French toast, and different kinds of Japanese sando. Cuit already has its own following so expect a little bit of wait but it’s worth it.
