Hongkongers, it’s going to be a Sky Full of Stars as Coldplay is all set to perform in the city early next year. The British Rock band will hold multiple performances at the Kai Tak Stadium in April 2025 as a part of their Music Of The Spheres World Tour. With their upcoming concerts in the city, the band is set to return to Hong Kong after 15 years. Coldplay‘s last show in the city dates back to 2009 when they set the stage ablaze at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Chek Lap Kok. After much speculation, the band recently confirmed additional stops in Hong Kong, as well as Abu Dhabi, Mumbai and Seoul.

When is the Coldplay concert in Hong Kong?

  • 9th April:  Kai Tak Stadium
  • 11th April: Kai Tak Stadium
  • 12th April: Kai Tak Stadium

Where to buy the Coldplay concert tickets?

Hongkongers, you can secure the tickets in advance during the Artist Presale on October 7, from 10 am to 11:59 pm at Colplay.com. Further, Klook’s pre-sale will commence at 10 am on October 8 till 10 am on October 9. You can visit Klook’s website for more details. Lastly, Live Nation is holding its presale on October 9, from  11 am to 11:59 pm. To register for presale access, visit this link. If you’re lucky enough to still get hold of tickets, the general on-sale will start on Thursday, October 10,  from 10 am local time.

How much are the Coldplay concert tickets?

  • Standing: HKD 1,399
  • Seated: HKD 2099 / 1699 / 1299 / 999 / 699 / 399
  • Ultimate spheres experienced ticket: HKD 6,599. This package includes one HKD 2,099 premium seated ticket, a once-in-a-lifetime exclusive behind-the-scenes tour, one stage photo opportunity by a professional photographer from where Coldplay will perform later, a special escort to designated seats, an eco-friendly Coldplay wristband and lastly, access to dedicated merch counters.
  • Kubik experience: HKD 3,499. This too includes one HKD 2,099 premium seated ticket, a dedicated entry to the venue, a specially designed sustainable Coldplay gift item, an eco-friendly Coldplay wristband and access to dedicated merch counters.
  • Floris early entry experience: HKD 2,799. This package comprises one HKD 1,399 standing ticket, early entry onto the pitch before the general public, a sustainable Coldplay gift item, an eco-friendly Coldplay wristband and access to dedicated merch counters.

Coldplay’s much-awaited concert also marks one of the biggest shows at Kai Tak, which has an expansive 50,000-seat facility. Upon its opening, the Kai Tak Stadium will host a slew of mega-events. This includes the Hong Kong Sevens, as well as the National Games.

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres World Tour

Meanwhile, the Chris Martin-led band is currently on its Music of the Spheres World Tour. Since its start in March 2022, the tour has minted over USD 1 billion in revenue from 156 shows across four continents. Coldplay is scheduled to play until mid-November until their last leg of performances in Auckland.

Last year, Hong Kong folks were left disappointed after major artists like Taylor Swift and Coldplay didn’t include the city in the Asian tour leg. However, with the latter’s return to the city next year, seems like Hong Kong is set for a musical extravaganza.
