Irvins and Wingstop team up on salted egg chicken wings from 14 Nov 2024

Irvins has solved the age-old question of which came first, the chicken or the egg, by partnering with Wingstop on salted egg chicken wings for a limited time.

Available from 14 November 2024, the Dangerously Addictive salted egg wings are the American chain restaurant’s fried chicken wings flavoured with a salted egg marinate created by the Singaporean snack brand.

The Irvins and Wingstop chicken wings can be ordered in individual portions and combo meals at all Wingstop restaurants in Singapore.

To make the chicken wings, the meat is dry-rubbed with Irvin’s Dangerously Addictive salted egg sauce, the same one found in the snack brand’s popular fish skin chips. According to the brands, they experimented for a year with different recipes until they settled on a sweet-salty flavour.

The salted egg chicken wings are then cooked upon order. They come in two varieties, classic and boneless. While Irvins and Wingstop have not announced prices, six pieces of Wingstop’s classic chicken wings cost S$8.95. The boneless wings cost S$8.50.

The wings will also be sold in two bundles. Priced at S$13.90, the Combo 1 – Salted Egg Combo includes three pieces of salted egg boneless wings, three pieces of boneless wings with your choice of flavour, one Voodoo Fries (fries with cheese sauce, ranch, and cajun seasoning), one ranch dip, and one canned drink.

The Combo 2 – Salted Egg Bundle consists of 12 salted egg boneless wings, 12 classic wings in two flavours of your choice, one Seasoned Fries, one Voodoo Fries, one curly fries, one mushroom fritters, four ranch dips, and four canned drinks. It is priced at S$57.90 and can feed up to four people.

This is the first time that Irvins has worked with a fast-casual restaurant to incorporate its famed salted egg flavour in fresh food. Previously, the brand has partnered with instant noodle company Nissin on a salted egg ramen. It also collaborated with pizza restaurant Pezzo on a pizza topped with salted egg fish skin.
