Woo Bar
What to order: “Straight From the Coconut Island” with dark rum, chocolate, and a hard punch of coconut
Drinks with a view? Woo Bar does that perfectly. They have seats by the bar for those who want to keep things lowkey, and seats surrounded by water with full view of the sea — it’s pretty hard to top that. Normally, this kind of experience is made perfect with a glass of Aperol Spritz or a gin and tonic, but don’t be afraid to treat yourself to their signature drinks that bring out the essence of the tropics. There are also DJs playing on the regular, and an impressive fire show on some nights. Definitely also keep an eye out for their special events and guest shifts.

Tikibox
What to order: Their famous Piña Colada
When it comes to tropical flavours, Tikibox takes them seriously, yet not too seriously. It’s a balance that makes for great cocktails. Sometimes tiki cocktails get a bad rap for being hangover-inducing, but the well-crafted drinks here will show you how big a difference it makes when you treat mixology with care and passion (provided you drink in moderation). Of course, explore their signature menus. They use a lot of rums, tropical fruits, and florals here and there. Nonetheless, fans of Tikibox will know they pride themselves on their Piña Coladas, and for good reason.

CoCoRum
What to order: Rum-based classics — start with the Jungle Bird
You know we had to include the filming location for The White Lotus here. True to its name, CoCoRum uses a whole lot of rum, and great cocktails are born because of it. Don’t dismiss this venue as your typical pool bar, because their menu pays a strong homage to rum-based classics from different bars across the world — the ones that had done it so well the drinks become a worldwide staple. Sure, Daiquiris and Mai Tais are in order, but step out of your comfort zone and perhaps try the Rum Runner, born in Key West Florida during the 1960s, the Zombie from 1930s California, or the ask the bartender what they have aged in the barrels.
