Weekly Obsessions: Tod’s SS25 MFW, CELINE BEAUTÉ, and more

Tod’s SS25 MFW

When it comes to designers who craft well-made clothes with beautiful styling, Tod’s is a brand that immediately comes to mind. At the recent Milan Fashion Week, we had the opportunity to witness their Summer 2025 collection, which celebrates “Artisanal Intelligence.” Inspired by a journey along the Mediterranean coast, Creative Director Matteo Tamburini presented a collection that, while not groundbreaking, was put together with interesting details. From the outerwear, the iconic Gommino shoes to the bags, this timeless and elegant collection truly places a strong emphasis on quality and classic Italian craftsmanship. It proves that despite advanced technology enhancing the world, nothing beats human-centred production and its irreplaceable value of true artisanal craftsmanship. –Tipapa Chandarasrivongs, Content Writer

CELINE BEAUTÉ

Despite the news of CELINE’s BEAUTÉ line being revealed quite a while ago, it’s without a doubt that almost everyone, including us, was ecstatic when we heard about the launch. After selling incredible perfume, their expansion into the beauty market got us wondering what they had in store for us. What we discovered was a gorgeous deep red lipstick called Rouge Triomphe, the first of the 15 shades released. It has a satin texture and feels smooth and comfortable once applied to the lips. Of course, the packaging is classic CELINE interpreted by Hedi Slimane. Chic and stylish, it exudes a 60s vibe with the gold tube engraved with the iconic Triomphe symbol. CELINE BEAUTÉ will be launched in fall 2024, followed by a full line in January 2024. – Pannatorn Tamnipanon, Senior Writer

In our daily lives, many of us simply want to get through the day. However, letting time pass without purpose can feel wasteful. This workshop is perfect for those looking to explore and reflect on themselves. It combines self-reflection with the healing powers of crystals and flowers, helping participants understand their emotions and open themselves to the positive energy within and around them.

Here, the healer will guide you through creating crystal and flower mandala for self-awareness. Guests will also receive a personal energy reading from certified crystal healer Som Duangporn. There’s also focus on self-talk and gratitude. – Aekkachai Angkulthivakorn, Managing Editor

“Joy” PACHAREE x 3.1 Phillip Lim

During New York Fashion Week, we were excited to learn that a Thai-Swiss jewellery brand had collaborated with 3.1 Phillip Lim for their show. PACHAREE creates pieces that highlight the unique qualities of each pearl and gemstone in a way that honours their origin while showcasing their natural elegance. Their collection, “Joy,” was inspired by a trip to Les Roches Rouges and evokes the feeling of the Atlantic Ocean, moonlight shimmer, and crashing blue waves. Each piece in the show was carefully styled, paying close attention to detail to enhance the overall appearance. We particularly loved the layered necklaces and the stylish statement earrings featuring pearls with hand-sculpted gold settings. –T.C., Content Writer

Gucci SS25 collection

Sabato De Sarno has introduced the concept of “Casual Grandeur” for Gucci since becoming their Creative Director. Since his debut, he has continued to develop this idea in his latest SS25 collection. The collection features classic tailoring, lingerie, and the use of leather in a 60s silhouette with a modern touch of glamour. It’s giving young, rebellious, and daring as we saw leather coats, shorts, A-lined minis, ruffled jumpsuits and skirts, along with head accessories and 60s style sun hats. – P.T., Senior Writer

Sofia Vergara’s unflavoured gelatin

After hearing Sofia Vergara’s skincare secret on how she maintains her youthful look, I obviously had to try to make unflavoured gelatin. Knowing that our bodies lose collagen when we turn 30, I ran to the grocery store right away to pick up plain gelatin. All you need is 3 cups of boiling water and 3 tablespoons of unflavoured gelatin powder. However, if that is too plain, you can blend some watermelon or use unsweetened juice. Now, I don’t know if this actually works, but there’s no harm in trying something that may (or may not) make you stay young forever. –T.C., Content Writer

Ferragamo SS25 collection

Another noteworthy brand that caught our eye at Milan Fashion Week was Ferragamo, whose SS25 collection was infused with the art of ballet. Creative Director Maximilian Davis drew inspiration from ballet attire and the allure of the 1980s for this new collection, giving of a ‘deconstructed’ feel. What’s particularly interesting is his experimentation with accessories, especially ties. For example, the footwear, whether they’re ballet flats or heels, feature matte silk ribbons that are super cute. – P.T., Senior Writer
