Within the stately 65-storey tower designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates are 186 luxury accommodations ranging from supreme studios to expansive three-bedroom duplexes. The Rosewood hotel and residence complex is described as a ‘vertical estate’ — built with the legacy of its owners in mind. Rosewood is headed up by CEO Sonia Cheng, and everywhere you look, the design touches pay homage to the tastes and accomplishments spanning three generations of the Cheng family.

From the majestic uphill drive that sweeps you to the main entrance, to the impressive height of the ceilings; the Art Deco marble floors to the handpicked display of the family art collection (the Bharti Kher sculpture of an elephant in the hotel lobby is not to be missed) — Rosewood Residences incorporates a regal, estate-like design vocabulary throughout the property. Designed by New York-based Tony Chi of tonychi studio, the spaces were designed to give off the sense of a storied family manor rather than a luxury hotel.

There’s also a private club on the 53rd floor dedicated to fitness and wellbeing, with an indoor heated swimming pool that’s only available to long-stay residents.

No matter if you’re staying in a studio or duplex, you’ll find all the necessities of home: Each unit is fitted with a fully-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave combination oven, induction hob, premium cookware and kitchen utensils. Some units also offer dishwasher and washer-dryer combinations. Ranging from 474 sq. ft. to 2,476 sq. ft. for the largest unit, some suites also include outdoor terraces — adding a touch of refinement to some, but also a welcome necessity for households with four-legged friends (indeed, the entire property is pet-friendly!).

After sundown, you won’t want to skip DarkSide, an intimate jazz lounge perfect for a nightcap, featuring a library of aged dark spirits and cocktails served with an array of esoteric chocolates.
