Honda has officially unveiled its new “H mark” logo, marking the first major change in its emblem in 43 years. The new logo will be found across Honda’s future electric vehicle range including its upcoming Series Zero EVs which were revealed at CES 2024.
The new Honda logo symbolizes two outstretched hands, representing “Honda’s commitment to expand the possibilities of mobility and continue to meet the needs of its customers.” Coming full circle, the logo is heavily reminiscent of the original Honda Auto logo used from 1961 to 1969. The differences in the silhouettes are subtle — the most noticeable being the removal of the exterior box outline. The form features subtle changes with more liquid, arching serifs, meanwhile, colours change from the original pale blue emblem and red background to a white logo set across a midnight gradient backdrop.
Gas-powered vehicles from the automaker are expected to maintain the current logo and the Honda Powersports (home to its motorcycles, ATVs, and side-by-sides) logo will also remain unchanged. With the Honda Insight, Honda became the first automaker to release a mass-produced hybrid car in North America. Nearly 40 years later, Honda now unveils the “Honda 0 Series” which will be available for global markets in 2026, starting with North America, The new “H mark” logo was displayed across the Honda 0 Series concept models, Saloon and Space-Hub, at the CES unveil.
