A guide to Dua Lipa’s concert in Bangkok so you’re ready once training season is over

Here’s a helpful guide if you’re going to the Dua Lipa concert in Bangkok this November 27.

Dua Lipa is almost here. The English-Albanian Brit and Grammy winner is bringing her “Radical Optimism Tour” to Bangkok this November 27 and fans are eagerly anticipating to hear some of their favourite songs from the singer-songwriter live. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that there will be no hiccups like in Jakarta. If you’re one of the lucky ones to have nabbed a ticket, here are a few things you need to know and some handy tips to prep for the Dua Lipa concert in Bangkok.

The setlist

Want to make sure you’ve got all the songs down so you can, ahem, dance the night away? Here’s the setlist on Spotify.

Buying tickets

Tickets started at THB 2,000 with two standing zones. The most expensive ticket cost THB 5,500, which gives the holder early access to the front pen. All that being said, tickets have sadly sold out so tough luck if you didn’t manage to nab one.

How to get there

Though Impact Arena is more comfortable than Rajamangala Stadium, it’s much farther from the city centre. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways for you to get there. The easiest would simply be to book a Grab and head over there. Depending on where you are in Bangkok, that would cost you a bit along with the toll fees. There are also public vans that go there, which are conveniently listed on Impact’s website.

The brand new MRT Pink Line’s Sri Rat station is the nearest station to Impact if you want to take the train. From there, you can take a bike to get to the arena. Grab is convenient but there might be win motosais on standby there but be prepared for long lines.

Stays nearby

It can be a bit of a hassle leaving Impact Arena (we’ll talk more about that in a bit). If you want to avoid all that or you’re flying to Bangkok just for Dua Lipa, consider staying at one of the hotels near the venue. Novotel and Ibis are the nearest hotels allowing you to just walk to the venue when it’s time. There are some other cheaper options that are a little farther away like the Hop Inn Chaeng Watthana that you can also consider.

Other tips

It should already be obvious but traffic is going to be bad heading to the concert. It’s advisable to get there early and just hunker down at one of the restaurants at Impact and wait until showtime draws near. But it’s arguably more challenging leaving Impact Arena than it is getting there. If you have your own car, you’ll most likely be stuck in the car park for a bit as everyone’s leaving at the same time. If you’re commuting, getting a Grab or hailing a taxi will be a bit of a challenge. Alternatively, you can take the public vans but it’ll be a bit of a wait.

Unlike Rajamangala, Impact Arena is an indoor venue. It’s still advisable to stay hydrated (you are watching Dua Lipa after all). You can’t bring water into the venue but thankfully there are stalls inside that sell water and food.
