Apple releases special edition AirPods Pro for the Year of the Dragon

Apple is getting in the Chinese New Year holiday spirit with the release of a new special edition pair of AirPods Pro.

Bundled with an exclusive set of red packets, the new AirPods arrive as the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) that have been updated from its previous iteration to provide 2x more Active Noise Cancellation.

Other updates for the second generation AirPods Pro include a new Adaptive Audio that dynamically tailors noise control to listeners’ environments, and Conversation Awareness that automatically adjusts media volume lower and enhances the voices that you are interacting with.

Battery life has also been bumped up by 33% with up to six hours of listening time on a single charge whereas the MagSafe Charging Case provides up to 30 hours of listening time in total. Five minutes in this case provides an impressive one hour of listening time. Apple has also addressed users’ concerns about misplacing their AirPods Pros with a lanyard loop, and speaker for locating the case via sound, and has made charging easier with USB-C and Qi wireless charging.

These are now packed with the powerful Apple H2 headphone chip whereas the MagSafe Charging Case is equipped with the Apple U1 chip. This special edition Year of Dragon release is priced at HK$1,849 and can be found now over at Apple Hong Kong.
