For those willing to spend a bit more, it’s rumoured that Samsung will launch its highly anticipated Galaxy S24 FE in Asia. Powered by an underclocked version of the Exynos 2400 chipset, the Galaxy S24 FE could offer flagship-grade performance without compromising on the battery life. The addition of Galaxy AI features could make it a highly productive device at a reasonable price.
Flip phone fans can expect an exciting announcement from Xiaomi. The Mix Flip is Xiaomi’s first flip-style foldable phone equipped with the latest Qualcomm chip and a great cover display. Rumours suggest that it could make it to global markets in October.

Based on the early leaks, the Redmi Note 14 Pro series seems like a promising addition to the mid-range segment of Android phones. While the design is largely inspired by modern-day Vivo and iQOO phones, the rest of the leaked specifications and features are likely to be its USP.
The Redmi Note 14 Pro will be the least powerful of the Pro lineup and has to make do with the strictly mid-range Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The base variant will start with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. You will also get a 6.67-inch 1220p resolution OLED display with curved edges, a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness rating of 2,500 nits. A 5,500mAh battery will fuel the phone and you will get Xiaomi’s trusty 67W wired charging solution to fill it up.
This phone will also feature a combination of a 50-megapixel main, 12-megapixel ultrawide and a 2-megapixel macro camera system. Meanwhile, in terms of durability, Xiaomi is rumoured to provide IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
Xiaomi is also likely to announce the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ with more powerful cameras and some other upgrades at a slightly higher price point.
Samsung Galaxy S24 FE

The Galaxy S24 FE has just arrived in Europe and the US. Now, we expect Samsung to bring it to our shores by mid-October 2024.
Carrying a price tag of USD 650 (approximately HKD 5,049), the Galaxy S24 FE dials down some of the premium experiences you see on the Galaxy S24 while maintaining the flagship essence. The phone is powered by an Exynos 2400e chipset – a watered-down variant of the Exynos 2400 chip from the Galaxy S24. Xiaomi Mix Flip

Category: Premium flip phone
The Xiaomi Mix Flip is the Chinese brand’s entry into the flip phone segment and as a first attempt, it looks spectacular — at least on paper. Available in Europe at a price of EUR 1,300 (approximately 11,141), it demands a hefty premium over the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is the current benchmark in the flip phone segment
Based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset that also powers the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, the Mix Flip sports a 4-inch 120Hz Dolby Vision-compatible OLED display that is rated at 1,600 nits of peak brightness in high brightness mode. Just like the Motorola Razr 50 Ultra, the wider cover display makes it functional in more ways than one. The 6.8-inch main foldable display comes with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness.
The dual camera system comprises of a 50-megapixel main wide shooter and a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter with 2x optical zoom. The 4,780mAh battery promises long stamina on a full charge and you get a fast 67W wired charging solution. What’s not to love?
iQOO 13

Summing up the list of upcoming smartphones in October 2024 is the iQOO 13.
The iQOO 13 will mark the arrival of the next-generation Android flagships taking advantage of the new 3nm nodes. Acting as the successor to the iQOO 12, this upcoming flagship offering is likely to debut Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, which is expected to bring more power and better efficiency.
Rumours also hint that the iQOO 13 will feature three 50-megapixel rear cameras in a bid to offer flagship-grade photography and videography. The 6,150mAh battery, with 100W wired fast charging, will be the icing on the cake.
