From natural landscapes to historic sites

Hiroshima is located in the southwest of Honshu and is known for its captivating natural landscape and historic sites. There are mountains and hot springs that have drawn travellers to the area as well as those looking to know more about history.

Visitors can make their way through lush forests and quaint towns such as Omonichi and Tomonoura. There are also golden beaches and islands such as Miyajima, which is home to the iconic Itsukushima Shrine with its massive floating red gate on the sea.

Don’t miss out on the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. A trip to Hiroshima isn’t complete without trying savoury local cuisine such as Hiroshima oysters, okonomiyaki, and saltwater eel.
