Add these Japanese cities to your travel list
Tokushima Prefecture in the northeastern part of Shikoku in Japan is known for its stunning view of Mount Bizan. It is also home to the famous Awa Odori Festival. Visitors also can’t miss the Naturo Whirlpools and the Vine Bridge in the Iya Valley.
Other than the majestic natural wonders, Tokushima also has many outdoor activities like water rafting or surfing. Plus, it’s part of the Shikoku Pilgrimage Route, which takes visitors to picturesque villages and striking coastlines.
Meanwhile, Sendai is the capital city of Miyagi Prefecture. It is also the largest city in the Tohoku region. This bustling metropolis is packed with history, thanks in part to its founder, the famous feudal lord Date Masamune. His presence still looms over the city from statues to architecture.
Furthermore, Sendai also boasts stunning natural landscapes like the Hirose River and Mount Izumigatake. In fact, its nickname is the ‘City of Trees’, making it a perfect option for nature lovers who also want to get close to the city.
