Hong Kong’s flag carrier, Cathay Pacific, is adding a non-stop flight route to Fort Worth International Airport, Dallas from Hong Kong International Airport. The direct service is scheduled to commence on April 24, 2025, operating four times weekly with the airline’s flagship A350-1000 aircraft. The new route, aiming to enhance connectivity to the southern regions of the United States (the US), will complement Cathay Cargo’s existing freight services to Dallas, via Anchorage. This is the airline’s sixth passenger destination in the US and eighth in North America.
Hong Kong-Dallas route by Cathay Pacific: Key details
The newly announced flight, covering a distance of 13,071 km, will take 14 hours and 50 minutes for the Dallas to Hong Kong journey. On the other hand, the Hong Kong to Dallas flight will take 16 hours and 10 minutes. This is Cathay Pacific’s longest route yet, leaving its Hong Kong to New York route behind.
The Hong Kong-Dallas route will operate on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with the below schedule:
CX898 Hong Kong to Dallas: Departure at 4:05 pm, arrival at 5:55 pm
CX897 Dallas to Hong Kong: Departure at 11:55 pm, arrival at 5:05 am
The A350-1000 is a 334-seater with a three-class layout. The flight will operate with 46 business class seats, 32 premium economy seats, and 256 economy seats. The airline currently operates 88 weekly return passenger flights to various cities across North America, including New York, Toronto, Boston, and Los Angeles.
