Japan Airlines is going to extend this offer only to passengers who make their domestic flight reservations as part of the same reservation as the international flight. It is imperative to note that separate domestic flights will not be free.

Additionally, for travellers from the US, Canada, and Mexico, the complimentary domestic flight availability is only if the first stopover destination in Japan is within 24 hours, according to reports. However, passengers will need to pay a stopover fee of USD 100 (HKD 799) beyond this duration.

According to a press release by Japan Airlines, this move aims to provide a seamless travel experience to visitors, allowing them to explore the country more within a stipulated time. For instance, travellers flying from Singapore to Tokyo can explore Sapporo for free.
