Studio City unveils 3 movie-themed attractions for Halloween

Studio City Macau is set to launch three spine-tingling, movie-themed attractions and child-friendly activities for Halloween.

Three Movie-themed Horrors

Highlighted among the seasonal installations is the “Creepy Studio” haunted house created in collaboration with renowned Hong Kong movie art director Irving Cheung. This attraction certainly isn’t for the faint of heart as lurking inside are all the characters that fuel nightmares including zombies, ghostly nuns, vampires, and murderers. Standard tickets are available for MOP 124 per person, with a special ticket package of MOP 424 for four people (original price MOP 496). Melco Style members can also enjoy a complimentary designated drink at the Premiere Bar with their same-day Creepy Studio ticket.

The “Wheel of Horrors” is a Golden Reel introducing five special Halloween carriages including two ghost-themed cabins for a chilling ride high in the sky, and three cute spooky-themed cabins for a fun adventure. Guests can go on either cabin for MOP 444, with the ghost-themed cabin and cute spooky-themed cabin fitting four and six people respectively. Tickets for “Creepy Studio” and “Wheel of Horrors” are on sale now.

Finally, there’s the “Lift of Screams” where more horrors await. See how long you can challenge yourself to stay in the lift. To experience the lift, purchase a game token for MOP 20 each. On the other hand, Melco Style members can purchase a pack of 10 tokens for only MOP 150 or spend MOP 300 or more in a single transaction to receive a free game token.

Child-Friendly Activities

Time Square will be transformed into a photogenic boo-nanza where you can enjoy Halloween-themed fun booth games. Don’t miss the “Halloween Screamfest,” featuring a towering 6-meter-high pumpkin spouting candies, and smash open the ghost-shaped piñata to take home mystery goodies. Like the “Lift of Screams,” the “Halloween Screamfest” requires game tokens for each participating guest.

The Event Garden has been taken over by a giant pumpkin patch for spooky photo opportunities, open from 2 to 8 PM. There, children are invited to paint and customise their own mini pumpkins. Workshops are available every 30 minutes from 2:30 to 7:30 PM (sessions occur every 30 minutes, with registration required half an hour in advance). Offering a taste of the time-honoured Halloween tradition of Trick-or-Treat, kids can also roam around Studio City with Studio City Candy Bags to collect candies at designated merchants. This will be one of the biggest Trick-or-Treat experiences in Macau with over 60 participating merchants. These exclusive Candy Bags are available for MOP 80. For Melco Style members, the Candy Bags are only MOP 50.

Other Halloween Offers at Studio City

That’s not all. Feast on some “Spooky Gourmet” while celebrating Halloween at Studio City. Limited-edition Halloween food, desserts, and special drinks are available at the hotel’s restaurants. Participating vendors include Rossi Pizza, Spotlight, Joyride Diner, Louvre Pastry & Deli, and Premiere Bar.

Watch some of the scariest horror movies with the “Chilling Movie Offer.” With a same-day “Creepy Studio” or “Wheel of Horrors” ticket, guests can receive a 50% discount on their second movie ticket for selected films at the Studio City Cinema box office. Those wearing a Halloween-themed costume can also enjoy this special offer. Selected films include movies like Alien: Romulus, Beetlejuice 2Shutter 4K, and more.
