Longines 2024 Flagship Heritage
Paying homage to the original Flagship design from 1957, the hour markers are elegantly plated in rhodium or rose gold, giving it that classic touch. The watches come in 38.5mm diameter, featuring a stainless-steel case with a screw-down back and a satin-brushed finish that is simply divine. And not only are these pieces stylish, but the shortened chamfered lugs also provide comfort to the wrists.
Powered by the exclusive Longines L899.5 calibre, these models boast a silicon balance spring along with innovative components that offer magnetic resistance ten times better than the ISO 764 standard. It also has a remarkable power reserve for up to 72 hours, water resistance up to 30 metres as well as an exquisite self-winding mechanical movement paired with a moonphase complication.
Moreover, the new additions contain domed sunray dials that not only add a unique curvature and depth but also complement the watches’ accent. As for the alligator straps, consumers can choose between brown, anthracite, or black, all fitted with a Heritage tongue buckle in stainless steel.
On the back, of course, is the line’s signature emblem, the 18-karat gold medallion. Illustrating a caravel gliding across a vivid blue sea, this design is brought to life by the exquisite Grand Feu enamelling technique. A truly challenging skill with a high failure rate, this means that only the true masters of their craft like Longines can be entrusted with its execution. After all, it’s not just a watch, it’s art.
