This summer, Laura Mercier is adding new items to its Ultra-Blur Collection on 16 July, including an update to its iconic Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra Blur, which has been a must-have on ladies’ dressing tables for decades since its launch in 1996.
Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur Tone Up
The Translucent Loose Setting Powder Ultra-Blur Tone Up (HKD$420/20g and HKD$250/6g) has added a peach-pink shade to its talc-free formula to enliven its complexion. The addition of this soft colour helps to balance warm and cool tones, calibrated to add life without the chalkiness.
Consistent with the original, the Tone Up version locks wearers’ makeup on their faces for up to 16 hours. With an ultra-finely milled formula, the application of powder will help to absorb oil, control shine, and create a matte finish with no photo flashback. Moreover, the infusion of Amino Acid and silica powders effectively blurs away the pores, fine lines, and imperfections to create flawless skin for the wearers for all-day comfort, even perfect for those with dry skin types.
As recommended by the founder Laura, it is better to use the brand’s Velour Puff. This tool is specially designed to pick up, hold, and apply the loose-setting powder across all areas of the face. For finishing touches, saturate the Velour Puff, tape off the excess powder, and press the puff onto the skin using a rolling motion to set the makeup.
