Beauty Sweep: Our 9 favourite new products this September 2024
Aesop’s Virēre Eau de Parfum
Step into nature with Aesop’s fresh new fragrance, Virēre. Meaning “to be green” or “to be full of life” in Latin, the fragrance is reminiscent of Mediterranean vacations and memories of cycling through orchards. Bergamot, galbanum, and petitgrain dance together in the top notes. The green tea, mastic, and pink pepper heart evoke the comforting scent of freshly brewed tea infused with fresh figs. Virēre is rounded off with base notes of cedar, green maté, hay, and minerals. The fragrance is now available online and in all Aesop stores across Hong Kong.
Diptyque’s Les Essences de Diptyque
With Les Essences de Diptyque, the brand is taking its customers on a new olfactory journey through nature. Featuring five new fragrances, the collection is inspired by natural treasures: coral, mother of pearl, bark, water lily, and desert rose. Despite these treasures being unscented, Diptyque uses its experts’ knowledge and creativity to create a unique scent for each. The fragrances come in a reimagined Diptyque bottle with engraved glass and an opaque black spherical stopper. These new beauty products are available in Hong Kong starting September 3, 2024. Can’t choose just one? Go for the Discovery Set, which includes all five fragrances.
NARS’ Light Reflecting Tone-Up Veil and Makeup Setting Mist
These two new beauty products launching in September 2024 will help you look and stay glam throughout the day. NARS’ Light Reflecting collection is expanding with the new Tone-Up Veil and Makeup Setting Mist as well as new shades for the Foundation. The primer brights and protects skin for makeup, boosted with skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid. Additionally, the Light Reflecting Tone-Up Veil also comes with a bit of SPF to further defend the skin. After completing your makeup, fix the look with the Light Reflecting Makeup Setting Mist. The mist hydrates skin while keeping makeup in place. Check out the new foundation shades, primer, and setting mist in all NARS stores and online, available now.
PAÑPURI launches in Hong Kong
Thai-born PAÑPURI has launched its first official store in Hong Kong! The boutique centres around the concept of “The Perfumist’s Chamber,” where visitors are invited to explore the world of scents surrounding them. Inside, you’ll find the Bespoke Sensorial Bar, where guests can craft their own signature scent, guided by the brand’s specialists. To commemorate their arrival to the city, PAÑPURI launched the Hong Kong-exclusive Heaven Moon Osmanthus collection. The scent features the titular flower balanced with vetiver. The fragrance is available as a Perfume Oil and Oil Mist online and in-store.
Yves Saint Laurent’s The Inks Vinyl Cream
The Inks Vinyl Cream by Yves Saint Laurent is perfect for those looking for a hyper-pigmented lip product with an intense shine. Building on the iconic Vernis à Lèvres Vinyl Cream, the new formula provides more hydration to make your lips fuller and bouncier. The sharp tip on the applicator assures precision while the brush body is soft and comfortable against the lips. Kicking off the collection are five alluring shades, ranging from nudes and pinks to reds and oranges. Whether you’re looking for a casual daytime look or a bold nighttime look, these five versatile shades are perfect for any occasion. Shop the new lip creams online or at Yves Saint Laurent shops across Hong Kong.
Chloé’s Atelier des Mains
Chloé has just introduced its first skincare collection titled Atelier des Mains. Using the essences of specific flowers, the perfume ritual is now available in a skincare line for the body. The first two offerings under this line by Chloé are a perfumed soap and hand cream. The perfumed soap is vegan, free of artificial colours, and lathers into an airy foam that leaves the hands cleansed and delicately scented. The hand cream is a fast-absorbing formula made from shea butter and offers lasting hydration, protecting the skin without leaving an oily or sticky residue. The perfumed soap is available in Cedris or Magnolia Alba while the hand cream is available in three scents, Cedrus, Santalum, and Magnolia Alba. The collection is available online and in select stores.
Jo Malone’s Hinoki & Cedarwood Cologne Intense
We recently had the pleasure to experience first-hand, Jo Malone’s new Hinoki & Cedarwood fragrance collection alongside other scents from the brand’s luxurious Cologne Intense Collection. Inspired by the ancient Japanese ritual of forest bathing, the unisex fragrance is fresh and woody. The clean aromatic notes of the highly-prized hinoki tree once guarded by the Samurai meet cedarwood, which is known for its clarifying and relaxing properties. Layered together, the fragrance is rich yet pleasing to the nose, and can easily last you through the day. Jo Malone’s Hinoki & Cedarwood fragrance is now available online and at select retailers.
SUQQU’s Aqufons Water Tuning Gel
As the dry and cold air of later months approaches, hydration becomes more important than ever. The Water Tuning Gel is the latest addition to SUQQU’s Aqufons collection. The new gel formula moisturises and creates a smooth water film on the skin’s surface. Infused with keratin water-retaining technology and Aqufons complex, the gel feels like a sheet mask in a tube. Apply the Water Tuning Gel after cleansing then follow it with serum and moisturiser to improve dullness and brighten skin tone. The gel is available starting September 20 at SOGO.
Kiehl’s Truly Targeted collection
Struggling with breakouts? The new Truly Targeted collection from Kiehl’s is designed to help you clear blemishes, whiteheads, and marks with a painless formula. The Blemish-Clearing Solution applies like an invisible “liquid patch” that spot treats and reduces blemishes and marks over time. Utilising ingredients like salicylic acid, niacinamide, and liquorice root, it has everything you need to clear your skin and prevent new blackheads. Meanwhile, the Blemish-Treating & Preventing Lotion is an everyday product that clears, fades, and prevents blemishes and breakouts. The salicylic acid, niacinamide, postbiotic Lactobacillus ferment, and glycerin result in a non-drying and non-irritating formula suitable for daily treatment. Shop the Truly Targeted collection online or in stores across Hong Kong.
