When it comes to K-beauty inspiration, there are plenty of South Korean actresses setting skincare goals. In a conversation with Her World Singapore, Shin-hye revealed that cleansing is a big part of her skincare routine. After all, a clean palette is key to ensuring that your skincare and makeup sit seamlessly on your face. “For my face, I prefer a cleanser that is not too oily and doesn’t produce thick foam but it still has to be effective in getting rid of the dirt on my face,” she said. The actress equally stresses the importance of cleaning your face after removing makeup, which ensures you’re clear of all grime, dirt and residue.

Regular skin cleansing is critical to maintaining healthy-looking and feeling skin. Not only does it help you avoid clogged pores, but encourages hydration, stimulates blood circulation and protects against premature ageing.

Her travel essentials include sunscreen, toner and lip tint

If you were to look at Park Shin-hye’s travel skincare kit, you’d definitely find sunscreen, toner, lip tint and a cushion foundation packed without fail. Being the brand ambassador for Korean skincare brand Mamonde, The Judge from Hell star swears by their products for all her skincare needs.

She religiously uses the Mamonde Rose Water toner. “I’ll soak some cotton pads with the toner, chill them in the fridge then use them to cool down my skin and soothe rashes and redness,” she told Her World. On vacations, Park Shin-hye avoids slathering her face with too much makeup. So, on days like these, the Mamonde Cover Powder cushion and sunscreen come to her rescue. Lastly, she finishes her look with a lip tint as she likes the focus to be on her lips.

Moisturising your face each day, keeps dryness, dullness and ageing away. Isn’t it? The actress claims she had been using Mamonde products even before she became the face of the brand. And what about her favourites from the brand? The Mamonde Moisture Ceramide Intense and Light Creams and the Rose Water Soothing Gel. “I use the intense variant during cold, dry seasons and I go for the light variant in the summer to refresh my skin,” she mentioned.

For the actress, a natural and hydrated base is the secret to looking flawless

The actress abides by the Korean glass-skin mantra quite seriously. For her, the “my skin but better’ approach works wonders. Over time, Park Shin-hye has realised that taking care of the skin (i.e. the base) is way more important than putting layers of colours on it. Even while working with professionals, she ensures that more time is spent on moisturising her skin and working on the base to keep the look natural and hydrated.

Moisturiser and hydrating masks are her ultimate in-flight skincare essentials
