Mark your calendars for July 19 and 20 as Mixmag Asia‘s Double Weekender brings some of the most exciting acts of the year to Hong Kong. Fresh off his Grammy win with Fred Again and Skrillex, grime MC Flowdan will headline Friday, Day 1 at the new California Tower venue YALLA while groundbreaking Osaka-based DJ ryota will take over The Trilogy on Saturday.
Having cemented himself as a major player in the UK grime scene in the early 2000s, Flowdan has continued to build over the years with Roll Deep collective and his Spentshell label. Working with the likes of Skrillex and drum and bass royalty Chase & Status, he’s been instrumental in bringing grime to the forefront with anthems such as “Baddadan” and “Rumble.” Flowdan arrives in Hong Kong by invitation of party crew UMAMI and Mixmag Asia with local support from some of the city’s finest.

Leading the Osaka underground scene, Japanese DJ ryota is responsible for one of the most electrifying Boiler Room sets in recent memory. With Tokyo and Osaka on lock with FULLHOUSE collective, which he co-founded in 2019, ryota prepares to bring the energy to Hong Kong ahead of his debut China tour.
“Since our debut on Boiler Room we have been receiving massive support from all over the world and firstly I would like to express my appreciation to everyone who knew me from this and before,” writes ryota ahead of his Asia tour. “I am extremely excited to announce my first Asia Tour that I have been longing to do since I first started in this industry. I have many more exciting journey coming soon to share with you all so please look forward to more!”
