In a dream collaboration connecting Taipei and Seoul, HYUKOH and Sunset Rollercoaster have announced a new joint album titled AAA. Ahead of the full album release on July 18, the two bands set the scene with the music video for their lead single “Young Man.”
Directed by Pennacky, the debut “Young Man” MV features all members from both bands including Kuo Hung Tseng, Hung-Li Chen, Shao-Hsuan Wang, Tsun-Lung Lo, and Hao-Ting Huang from Sunset Rollercoaster, Oh Hyuk, Im Dong-geon, Lim Hyun-jae, and Lee In-woo from HYUKOH as well as frequent collaborator JNKYRD. The dreamy track explores feelings of uncertainty over the future experienced by youth.
“Every day is yesterday. We don’t look back. Go forward with no regrets
We, the young, forever mercy,” goes the chorus.
Seen working together in the past with Sunset Rollercoaster releasing an official remake of HYUKOH’s 2020 track “Help” and OHHYUK featuring on Sunset Rollercoaster’s track “Candlelight,” fans suspected more to come as HYUKOH members were spotted supporting Sunset Rollercoaster’s headline show in 2023. Fast forward to today, the 8-track record marks the first full-length album for both bands in four years.

“This album is the result of closely collaborating for about a year starting from May 2023, based on long-time fond friendship and mutual respect for each other,” the bands write in a joint statement.
A nickname turned official, the album title AAA has multiple meanings including “good stuff” and “quality assurance.” With Sunset Rollercoaster preparing to embark on its first U.S. tour, it’s also said to be an abbreviation of “Access All Areas” as the bands seek to erase cultural boundaries.
Look for the two bands to drop more teasers via the official countdown before the July 18 release.
