Name: Metawin Opas-iamkajorn
Age: 25
Neighbourhood: Bangkok, Thailand
Occupation: Actor/Singer

1. How did this role come about?
My team reached out to me and brought this exciting project up. They said it was with the Filipina actress Janella Salvador and in Hong Kong. It was set for an international market and that’s something I’ve been wanting to explore so I said, “Why not?” It is my dream to work with international talent.

2. What was it like filming in Hong Kong?
I really enjoyed Peng Chau and Tai O village. I think if it wasn’t for this film, I would not have gotten a chance to visit these areas.

3. What was it like working with a Manila-based team?
I loved it. I think the world has gotten smaller and there are no borders like in the past. There are a lot of cultural similarities between Thailand and the Philippines so it went smoothly.

4. What is your life motto?
Do my best.

5. What is your current favourite brand?
Prada.

6. Who is your role model?
My dad because I have seen him since I was born, and seen how much he has done so I want to be just like my dad.

7. Coffee or Tea?
Coffee.

8. Why should people watch Under Parallel Skies?
It has got everything. Romance, comedy, drama.

9. What is your typical Sunday like?
I spend Sundays with friends and family just eating and hanging out.

10. What is your biggest guilty pleasure?
I love macarons and desserts in general.

11. If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Kra Pao. It’s Thai food — Thai basil with pork.

12. What is your favourite memory?
One of my favourite memories was the overall experience of filming this movie in Hong Kong and the time I spent here.

13. How do you deal with fame?
I just stay grounded. Be conscious of what you are doing.

14. What is your greatest fear?
Rollercoasters. The scariest one I have been on is the one in Fuji-Q.

15. What is the most stressful thing about your job?
Dealing with people because I have to meet so many people.

16. What do you love most about your job?
Just the fact that I have so many chances and opportunities to do what I love to do.

17. Dream collaboration?
I want to make a song with Justin Bieber.

18. When was the last time you felt starstruck?
Meeting Tony Leung and also Hailey Bieber.

19. What is your favourite song?
My song, Night Ride.

20. Do you follow the heart or the brain?
Brain… at least I am trying to. I sometimes follow my heart too much but have to reevaluate and think logically.

21. Who is your favourite superhero?
Iron-Man.

22. What is your hidden talent?
Negotiation. Bargaining prices.

23. What was the best gift you ever received?
My fans bought me a star (an actual star) and they put my name on a star.

24. What is your dream destination?
Switzerland because it seems peaceful and beautiful. I’ve never been there but would love to go.

25. If you could do it all over again, what is one thing you would do differently?
To not be lazy. When I was younger, I loved to sleep.

26. Who is the best teacher you’ve ever had and what is one important lesson they taught you?
Myself. In every project I have done, I have had to learn everything by myself.

27. What would you like to do next?
This film has a lot to do with my future plans. One of my dreams is to move to an international level, so this is one step closer to realising that dream of having an international audience.
