To celebrate the “Bunnies Camp 2024” at Tokyo Dome, NewJeans has collaborated with Japanese contemporary artist Takashi Murakami to treat the bunnies.
The merch is now available at the NewJeans Supernatural Pop-up store at the LINE Friends Square in Shibuya Tokyo and online until July 15. Ahead of the official grand opening, CEO of the group’s label ADOR, Min Hee Jin, and Takashi Murakami attended the pop-up to introduce the collaboration.
The merch coincides with the debut of NewJeans latest single “Supernatural” in Japan, which features the members as Powerpuff Girls characters. Appearing in a world with Takashi Murakami’s iconic sunflowers, Minji is drawn in blue, Hanni in Pink, Danielle in yellow, Haerin in green, and Hyein in purple.
The collection includes two types of NewJeans x Takashi Murakami gift packs which both contain a CD, Jewel Case, Jewel Case CD Booklet & Inlay, Outbox, Postcard, 68 pages of Photo Book, and Photo Cards. Fans can choose between the Drawstring Bag with the Powerpuff Girls and sunflower graphic or a Cross Bag in five colors featuring the five members. Takashi Murakami’s iconic sunflowers also appear on the cover of the Supernatural single cover launched in Japan to highlight the NewJeans x Takashi Murakami cooperation.
