“Princess Diana’s Elegance & a Royal Collection” opens at K11 Musea on April 18

Julien’s Auctions is hosting the “Princess Diana’s Elegance & a Royal Collection” exhibition at K11 Musea, opening on April 18. Through this exhibition, people will get the chance to witness the lasting legacy the Princess of Wales left behind as a beloved member of the British Royal Family and a fashion icon.

The exhibition will present the largest curated collection of Princess Diana‘s most popular gowns, suits, shoes, handbags, and accessories since the historic 1997 charity auction of her royal dresses. Highlights include the Murray Arbeid Midnight Blue Strapless Tulle Diamante Star Gown which she wore to the 1986 Phantom of the Opera Premiere and the Victor Edelstein Magenta Silk and Lace Flamenco Style Evening Dress worn in 1987.

Perhaps the most relevant to us Hongkongers will be the Catherine Walker Two-Piece Suit that Princess Diana wore during her visit to Hong Kong in 1989. Other Catherine Walker designs made for her will be featured among other outfits as well as accessories that she wore during her life.

All of these items will be on display at K11 Musea from April 18 to 29, before it will go to North America (dates and venue to be announced) and Ireland at the Museum of Style Icons from June 11 to 27. The collection will then go on auction on June 27, with a portion of the proceeds going to the Muscular Dystrophy UK charity. Potential bidders can register online to join.

“Princess Diana’s Elegance & a Royal Collection” exhibition is free and open to the public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily at the K11 Musea Gold Ball.
