The mainland Chinese organisers behind ART021 Shanghai and JINGART in Beijing are bringing ART021 to Hong Kong. The inaugural edition will run from August 28 to September 8 with an extended programme spanning four venues. Keep reading to find out everything you need to know about the fair, including dates, venues, and programming.
ART021 GROUP — founded by Kylie Ying, Bao Yifeng, and David Chau — has been working hard for more than a decade. The company first created ART021 Shanghai Contemporary Art Fair in 2013 to major success. Afterwards, it launched JINGART in Beijing and the DnA SHENZHEN Design and Art Fair in 2018 and 2021 respectively. Now, the group is expanding beyond the mainland and into Hong Kong for the first time.
ART021 Hong Kong aims to bring a new vision and a new model of art fairs. Instead of the standard way of hosting art fairs, the organisers are collaborating with iconic art venues across Hong Kong to present its five distinctive sections of programmes. Over 70 galleries and projects from 13 countries and regions will participate in the Fair.
