Get intimate with some artwork in the WHATZ Art Curators Fair debut this October

WHATZ Art Curators Fair is making its debut in Hong Kong. From October 18 to 20, visitors can explore the works of over 150 artists from more than 12 countries and regions. Set at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong, this new art fair promises to be a unique and intimate experience you can’t find elsewhere.

As one of the biggest cultural hubs in Asia, Hong Kong is no stranger to hosting art fairs. After the debut of ART021 Hong Kong last month, the WHATZ Art Curators Fair will soon be coming to our city in collaboration with the Art Curators Hub. WHATZ Art Co. first launched its flagship event and one of the largest hotel art fairs at Taipei in 2020. Since then, it has organised more than five editions and welcomed over 58,000 collectors and enthusiasts. Aside from Taipei, the organisers have also branched out to Singapore and now, it’s expanding into Hong Kong.

“We are thrilled to bring this intimate and engaging art experience to Hong Kong after our successful events in Taipei and Singapore,” said Charles Chiu and Mira Chen, the founders of WHATZ International Contemporary Art Fair. “We very much look forward to welcoming gallerists, artists, collectors and art enthusiasts from around the globe at the Fair.”

What to expect from WHATZ Art Curators Fair 2024

Instead of using an exhibition space, the WHATZ Art Curators Fair will be at JW Marriott Hotel Hong Kong. Guest rooms will be transformed into unique art spaces, creating an intimate experience for visitors to enjoy. Collectors and art enthusiasts will be able to view the artworks up close in a cosy setting, mimicking a visit to one’s personal art collection. More than 150 artists will be presenting their works at the fair, and 30 of them will be present to engage with fairgoers directly.

Guests can also enjoy an array of experiences from the Fair’s partners. The Royal Brunei Airlines invites everyone to explore the rich heritage of Bruneian arts and crafts at the Art Lounge. Visitors can bring home a keepsake from the Fair at Venture Studios’ photoshoot experience. A scent experience by Absence Therapy will also help fairgoers to relax in between viewing all the different artworks. While walking through the rooms, sip on beverages provided by the Fair’s Hospitality Partners to accompany your art journey.

Dates and ticketing details for the Fair
