10 Tracks: MAGIC ROOM X SPIN SUM

For our next instalment of 10 Tracks, we connect with Magic Room and Spin Sum who join forces on Saturday, October 19 to present “For The Love of Hong Kong,” a 1-Day House Music Festival at AIA Vitality Park celebrating the city’s electronic dance community. Ahead of the day-night festivities, we’ve asked some of the artists performing from both collectives to curate a playlist each for the weekend ahead.

The 8-hour mini-festival will feature two stages, 3 international headliners, and 10 supporting acts, bringing together the vibrant communities of both music collectives which have consistently put on some of the most exciting music event experiences in Hong Kong over the years across unforgettable backdrops.

“Having celebrated our 3rd anniversary at AIA Vitality Park, which was our biggest Hong Kong event to date, we knew that for a second time around we wanted the event experience to be different. At Magic Room, we always want to push the limits and embrace the spirit of our vibrant city and we believe Spin Sum has this in common”; say ‘Remy Kerstens and Leo Arbez, Co-founders of Magic Room.

“Collaborating and pulling together our resources, expertise, and our respective loyal communities, allows us to create a festival vibe with two stages. More than just an event, it reflects our love for this city. It’s about unity. It’s about celebrating,” Willer, Co-Founder & Creative Director of Spin Sum continues.

Headlining the festival are German DJ & producer duo ANDHIM, singer-songwriter AWEN, and Tel-Aviv-based artist Kadosh. Supporting acts include Hong Kong’s Nodes Rec.— Leon (FR), Milam, and Mo-Shi — as well as Willer vs Alex Nude (Cassio), Nino (FR) (Cassio), Jamie Maddock (Cassio), Nat Dunn (HK), Arthur Yeti (HK) vs CW, Belloy (Founder of Surprise Surprise) and Jane Ki. DJ Kulu, DJ El Toro, DJ Suiki, and Av Acquilla will take it into the early morning at the Spin Sum Afterparty happening alongside the Magic Room Afterparty at Cassio.

Alongside the stages will be various independently operated food vendors including Amalfitana, Bengal Brothers, and Pomegranate Kitchen. The event also offers two backstage experiences, including The Magic Room Backstage Area featuring premium bar & private tables and The Spin Sum Backstage Experience furnished with a dedicated bar by Pernod Ricard, Red Bull, Código 1530, and ONLY Beverages.
