The two crossed paths while playing leads in the KBS2 drama Descendants of the Sun in 2016. As the duo oozed sizzling chemistry on screen, fans started speculating if the situation was similar in real life as well. With the drama becoming a massive success, the two found themselves surrounded by dating rumours. Adding fuel to the fire were reports of the co-stars enjoying a cosy dinner in New York. While their respective agencies dismissed the rumours, calling them ‘baseless’, fans were convinced otherwise.
