Season 4 part 1 of Emily in Paris delivered all the glitz, glam and gasp-worthy moments we’ve come to expect from our favourite American in Paris. From Camille’s pregnancy plot twist to Gabriel’s Michelin star drama, the first half left us with our hearts racing and our minds spinning. But one big question remains: what happens next? As we eagerly await Part 2, here are 5 plot lines we’d love to see unfold.
Emily in Paris Season 4 Part 2: Plot lines we’d love to see unfold
Camille, Gabriel, and Emily become the ultimate Parisian throuple
Let’s face it: Camille, Gabriel and Emily’s lives are so intertwined at this point, it’s a wonder they haven’t considered a less conventional relationship solution. In Part 2, the trio could explore the idea of a modern Parisian throuple. They were always going to be a family of four once the baby arrived, but since four is a crowd and there is no baby (yikes), this ménage à trois could surprisingly work. After all, in Paris, anything is possible.
Sylvie has a surprising solution for Antoine: a new fragrance for men going through a mid-life crisis
Now that Antoine’s wife is finally leaving him (slay queen), he might be on the verge of a full-blown midlife crisis. Antoine remains as calm, cool, and collected as ever, but here is where it could get fun. Imagine Antoine in the midst of a midlife crisis and Sylvie, ever the pragmatist, sees an opportunity. She convinces Laurent G. (yes her husband) to help Antoine by getting him to focus his chaotic energy into something productive. Why would Antoine listen to Laurent G? We have absolutely no idea, but how cute would it be to see a montage of both Sylvie’s men gossiping and painting each other’s nail? Together, they launch a wildly over-the-top marketing campaign for Antoine’s business, featuring him as the face of a new fragrance aimed at men going through their own mid-life crisis. Think: Antoine in a leather jacket, surrounded by motorcycles, with a slogan like ‘reignite the fire’. I’d love to see Sylvie’s reaction on that one.
Where in the world is Alfie? He’s actually an undercover MI6 agent
Alfie’s sudden vanishing act after seeing Gabriel and Emily kiss left us all wondering – where on earth did he go? We’re expecting or hoping his return to part 2 brings a jaw-dropping revelation. Alfie, the charming Brit, is actually an undercover MI6 Agent. We love a James Bond moment. We find out that Alfie’s time in Paris wasn’t just about romance – it was part of a covert mission to investigate luxury brands being used as fronts for money laundering and elaborate scams. He got swept up in a romance with Emily, but he’s back to recruit her, as her insider knowledge of the fashion world makes her the perfect ally. As Emily gets drawn into this world of espionage, their relationship transforms from a once-romantic connection into a partnership in crime-fighting.
Luc & Julien, Paris’ most underrated duo, get a spinoff
Our theory? Luc and Julien are destined for their own spinoff, where their comedic friendship takes centre stage. Picture this, Luc’s quirky, clueless, he’s not like other boy’s charm clashing perfectly with Julien’s razor-sharp wit and sass. Whether they’re navigating the chaos of the fashion world, crashing high-society parties, or just getting into absurd situations at Savoir, these two are the ultimate odd couple. Move along Emily and her list of interesting men, I’m here for the #lucien duo (still a better couple name than #gabily or #emfie). I hope we see Luc hanging more lingerie on his houseboat in Part 2, because get it, king.
Emily moves to Rome and trades croissants for cannolis
The season finale’s title All Roads Lead to Rome, has us wondering if Emily’s Parisian adventures might be taking a detour to Rome. What if the plot for Part 2 sees Emily grappling with a life-changing decision: staying in Paris or moving to Rome permanently? We get a sneak peak in the trailer that Emily is on a ski-trip, where she meets a man named Marcello. Our bet is that Emily is offered an irresistible job opportunity with a prestigious Roman fashion house, which she should definitely take. It’s time, Emily, to say goodbye to Gabriel and Alfie. We’re over it. Swap out the Eiffel Tower for the Colosseum, where the men will actually fight to the death for you. Maybe Emily will do what she tries to do best, and find a way to have her Parisian croissant and eat her Roman cannoli too. You never know, but as one does know, Italian men are a different level and I am all for Emily living her best life.
