Discover Hong Kong via <em>Hong Kong Classics Reimagined</em> docufilm by HKTB for free

Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) is sending out freebies for local and international audiences to watch the docufilm Hong Kong Classics Reimagined. Bringing together six shorts showing classic scenes in Hong Kong, the film is a great tourist guide for visitors. Keep reading to learn more about the premiere of this epic yet down-to-earth film.

Under the campaign ‘Live Out the Cinemanic Hong Kong’, HKTB is paying tribute to Hong Kong movie classics in the docufilm Hong Kong Classics Reimagined. The project is tailored for travellers to get an in-depth understanding of Hong Kong’s culture and history. First debuted in Marché du Film at the Festival de Cannes in France last month, it premiered in M+ cinema at the end of June.

Now, HKTB is also hosting eight free screenings for the public, inviting local and global viewers to experience the appeal of Hong Kong on the silver screen. Audiences can catch the screening on four Saturday nights: 21 July, 27 July, 3 August, and 10 August. The docufilm is also available on YouTube.

Hong Kong Classics Reimagined

From the movie scenes in Illicit, Déjà vu, La Rose Noire vs La Rose Noire 2023, The Raw Oysters, Passion Call, and Somewhere in Time, audiences can learn about Hong Kong culture. Moreover, they can also recapture a classic scene in Infernal Affairs in record stores in Ap Liu Street, Sham Shui Po, retrace a renowned motorbike journey in Wong Kar-wai’s Fallen Angels on an open-top bus, and pay tribute to martial arts legend Bruce Lee in Wing Chun workshops.

Reserve your free tickets for the screening online starting from July 8. Up to two tickets can be reserved at a time, available on a first-come-first-served basis.
