After an emotional and hard-hitting season 2, it is quite obvious for fans of Pachinko to wonder if a season 3 of the Apple TV+ series is on the cards. Here’s everything we know about a possible season 3 of Pachinko, from plot to release date and more.
Season 2 of Pachinko premiered on Apple TV+ on 23 August 2024 and garnered appreciation from fans and critics alike. Throughout its eight episodes, the fictional drama introduced fans to major plot twists. These include the horrors of World War II and its aftermath, Hansu (played by Lee Min-ho) and Sunja’s (played by Kim Min-ha) reunion, and Noa (played by Kang Tae-ju) and Solomon’s (played by Jin Ha) struggle to come to terms with their Korean identities.
Created by Soo Hugh, Pachinko is an adaptation of Lee Min-jin’s 2017 Korean novel of the same name.

Could there be a season 3 of Pachinko?
There’s no official confirmation about a possible season 3 of Pachinko or its release date by Apple TV+ yet. However, the executive producer of the period drama, Theresa Kang did tease fans with a major hint.
In an interview with The 92nd Street Y, New York on YouTube, Kang shared, “We would love all of you to watch and support the show. Soo [Hugh] does have in mind a Season 3 and so… we are planning on it. But, we’ll see.”
What could be the plot of Pachinko season 3?
In the season 2 ending, viewers see Noa learning that Hansu is his biological father. Triggered by the truth, Noa completely abandoned his Korean identity and shifted to Nagano. There he introduced himself as Ogawa Minato, a Japanese man, and started working as a sweeper at a restaurant. Meanwhile, in the 1980s timeline, Noa successfully took revenge on Abe-san (played by Yoshio Maki) for destroying his career. However, when Abe committed suicide unable to bear the financial loss, Solomon was left devastated.
In season 3, fans can likely expect the show to delve deeper into Noa’s inner turmoil regarding his true identity, and the aftermath of Abe’s death and its impact on Solomon.
