Get more Adam Brody with these shows and movies you need to add to your watchlist
American actor Adam Brody has been around for a while. He made appearances in movies around teenagers in the early 2000s before landing his iconic role in The OC. Since that show ended back in 2007, Brody has popped up in supporting roles and taken the lead in some indie movies. But it wasn’t until recently with the new Netflix series Nobody Wants This that Brody has grown in popularity once more. Including Nobody Wants This, here are some of the other movies and shows starring Adam Brody that you should check out.

Nobody Wants This (2024)
This Netflix series has spurned Brody’s resurgence—a Brodyssaince, if you will. Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, is loud, somewhat obnoxious, and outspoken about being agnostic. At a party, she gets introduced to Noah, played by Brody, and in a surprising turn of events, the two of them fall for each other. The scene where Noah tells Joanne “I can handle you” has gone viral and has everyone longing for a Noah in their lives.

Jennifer’s Body (2009)
This bloody and sometimes gleefully dark movie revolves around Megan Fox’s Jennifer and her best friend Needy, played by Amanda Seyfried. But Jennifer wouldn’t have become the bloodthirsty succubus she was if it wasn’t for the rock band that captured her and unwisely decided to offer her up to the devil, and one of the members of that band is played by Adam Brody. He menacingly tells her what’s about to happen to her, which makes it so much more satisfying when he and his other band members are killed by Needy in the end.

Some Girl(s) (2013)
Nobody Wants This isn’t actually the first project Brody and Kristen Bell worked on. That honour goes to this 2013 film about a man, played by Brody, seeking to make amends with his ex-girlfriends. Bell plays one of his former flames, a woman named Bobbi who was engaged to him before he ran off.
Shazam (2019)
Sure, he may have just appeared towards the end of the movie but it says a lot when his performance is one of the most enjoyable performances in the film. In the climactic battle with Dr. Sivana, Bily’s foster siblings transform into superhero versions of themselves with Brody playing the superhero form of Dylan Grazer’s Freddie. Brody is able to effortlessly play Freddie with the same mannerisms and quirks that Grazer does, and it’s simply a delight to watch.

The O.C. (2003)
It would be a grave mistake to leave this show off the list. From 2003 until 2007, Brody starred in the iconic teen drama series alongside Ben McKenzie as two fish-out-of-water teenagers living in the high-class world of Newport Beach. Though waning ratings eventually led to its cancellation, the show and Brody’s portrayal of Seth Cohen remain iconic.
