The Swatch and Omega MoonSwatch continues with the newest Mission to the Super Blue Moonphase release.
This new limited edition of the MoonSwatch celebrates the summer season and the first supermoon of the year. While this is not the first time Swatch and Omega have used this blue hue in their Bioceramic offering, this watch sees a new layout and function. Arriving in 42mm, the Super Blue Moonphase houses a silver-opaline dial and blue subdials.
This version differs most at the 2 o’clock subdial where a new UV ink blue moon phase can be found; the chronograph function is unaffected. To tie in the supermoon theme, this watch is released from August 1 to August 19, where the first supermoon will appear on the final sale date.
Following the series, the customary design cues like the co-branded dial markings and crown are all present along with the spacesuit-ready blue VELCRO® strap and rear battery cap, but this time the moon that has been made in multiple blue shades. The official reference for this watch is SO33N700.
This release would be a great addition for those who missed out on the Snoopy release. In line with the rest of the collection’s pricing, this special edition will retail for roughly USD 310.
