Following a collaboration with music collective THÜR, Hong Kong-based eyewear brand A. SOCIETY presents the first-ever M+ Special Exhibition Collection in celebration of the first major retrospective of Ieoh Ming Pei titled I.M. Pei: Life is Architecture.
Launched earlier this June, the exhibition celebrates one of the greatest architects of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries responsible for iconic structures around the world including the National Gallery of Art East Building in Washington, D.C., modernisation of the Grand Louvre in Paris, Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, and Museum of Islamic Art in Doha.
As part of an official collaboration with M+ Museum, A. Society introduces eyewear designs “Alchemy” and “Nexus” paying tribute to Pei’s architectural legacy. Limited to 102 units, the frames are found in .925 Sterling Silver and handmade acetate with blue-light blocking lenses by ZEISS. Triangular lattice patterns reminiscent of the Bank of China Tower adorn the temples of the familiar oval silhouette while nose pads for both frames are tipped in .925 silver. Each model comes with a gift box, embossed case, microfiber cleaning cloth and 12-months of limited warranty.
The collection is now available at the M+ store, A.SOCIETY website, and the K11 Musea pop-up store. More details on the exhibition can be found here.
