aespa’s Karina is the latest K-pop star to join Prada as its global brand ambassador.
Earlier this year, Karina was spotted at the Prada Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show in Milan. During the show, she caught people’s eyes in a stunning dress by the brand’s Women’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection. Now, the two are making the partnership official by naming the star as the brand’s global ambassador.
This isn’t the first time Prada is joining in on the K-wave. Last year, the brand named rising stars ENHYPEN as its brand ambassador. Other South Korean stars who represent the brand include actor Kim Tae-ri, solo singer Jeon So-mi, TWICE’s Sana, and NCT’s Jaehyun.

The announcement came with a new photo of the singer dressed in another one of the brand’s dresses. In the picture, she proves why fans describe her visuals as “otherworldly” and “AI-like”. Her looks are matched with a black dress from Prada, with silk ribbons across her torso. Check out the full picture above, along with Karina’s look during the Prada Men’s Fall/Winter 2024 show.
A fourth-gen K-pop sensation
Since the group’s debut in 2020 under SM Entertainment, aespa has secured its position as one of the most popular groups from fourth-gen K-pop. Karina is the leader of the group with members Giselle, Winter, and Ningning. The group gained popularity since their debut thanks to their unique “metaverse” concept and hyperpop music.
Since their debut, many of their singles have become viral hits. Their debut single, “Black Mamba” became one such hit, as well as other songs like “Next Level”, “Girls”, and “Drama”. One of their latest singles, “Supernova”, became aespa’s first track to top the Circle Digital Chart and reach the Top Ten on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart.
The latest Prada ambassador is no stranger to taking on such a role. In previous years, aespa has become the face of Givenchy, becoming the first K-pop artist to do so for the French fashion house. They have also endorsed Korean brand Clio, Mediheal, and French brand Eider.
