Carnival’s new ASICS GT-2160 are in full bloom

CARNIVAL and Asics are back again for a new collaboration — this time in the form of the “Concrete Bloom” GT-2160.

This pair tells the story of how even through the toughest conditions, weeds and plants can grow through the cracks of city streets and burst through concrete in order to seek light. The “Concrete Bloom” GT-2160 embodies that notion where it symbolises how people can make it out of harsh environments and create something beautiful against all odds.

The theme is translated into silver and grey mesh and leather uppers while the ASICS logo arrives in green to represent the blooming plants. Red and brown appear as small hits of color on the tongue and heel where they both represent a flower and the soil, respectively. These shoes feature cushioning and support via ASICS’ GEL system and TRUSSTIC adaptive technology. One of the best details of the shoe is the co-branding at the heal panel where CARNIVAL’s logo can be seen in small text that fits perfectly in the shape of the panel.

The CARNIVAL x ASICS “Concrete Bloom” GT-2160 is set to go on raffle today on CARNIVAL’s app while a full global release is slated for September 10, 2024.
