Human Made Hong Kong opens in Repulse Bay Village

Human Made has officially opened its latest flagship store in Repulse Bay Village, Hong Kong.

Occupying the corner of an old colonial building along a popular beachside resort area, Human Made Repulse Bay arrives just a month after the opening of dining experience Curry Up a few stores down. Both establishments are established by cultural icon, NIGO who currently serves as creative director of Human Made and artistic director of KENZO.

Interiors are said to resemble a “fusion of the HUMAN MADE OFFLINE STORE in Tokyo and a quaint building.” A cartoon ibex goat sculpture in Human Made’s signature animation style sits at the centre of the space as subtle maritime motifs line the walls and floor tiling. Clothing pieces hang on gold hotel trolleys and accessories are placed within a vintage wooden counter. A tasteful blend of old and new, ceiling fans feature heart-shaped blades and a jukebox lies between full-length mirrors.

To celebrate the opening, Human Made is releasing a limited-edition collection featuring animal-graphic ibex as well as collaboration items with Toru Nishiyama’s streetwear label DESCENDANT. pieces include denim work jackets, sweatshirts, tees, and tote bags. The collection is exclusively available at the offline store. Prices range from HK$590 to HK$4,530.
